Massa: Trzeba dać coś od siebie

The former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa has returned to the paddock in a new role of FIA’s international karting commission president. Speaking to ŚwiatWyścigów.pl, he told that he doesn’t miss driving F1 cars.

“It’s amazing to be in the paddock [not as a driver] and hug people that I have worked with or have been part of my 16 years in Formula 1” – he said. “During my career I received much more than I expected and it’s time to give something back which I do. Helping children in karting, helping with the organisation and promotion of the sport is a very important task”.

The Brazilian maintains a good relationship with his last F1 team Williams: “For sure they go through a difficult time right now and I wish them the best. I hope they will come out strong and return to the points-paying positions, which is where everybody wants to see Williams”.

Massa will return to full-time racing later this year, driving for a Venturi Formula E team. Last week he underwent a test in Ales-Cevennes: “Everything went according to plan. We are still learning but the car feels good and everything seems to be going in the right direction”.
