René Binder doesn't have to take care about placing his surname at Formula 1 history's pages, because it has been already done by his uncle Hans 40 years ago. René tries to follow him up and he is doing quite well so far, because he races in GP2 series. He hasn't managed to be at the podium yet, but he just needs to improve a bit to make it happen. Comparing to most of his friends, he has been much more talkative during our conversation, so does today we are happy to publish a bit longer chat with this driver.

Question 1: Street circuits or classic ones?

Rene: I think it depends. I think it should be a mix of both but I really love Monte Carlo, I also raced one time in Singapore so for me I would like to have more street circuits in the calendar.

Question 2: Wet or the dry track?

Rene: It depends also. I like to drive in the rain but this season we have been racing in the dry so I would also try one or two times in the wet because it makes everything a bit more difficult for the driver and I like it.

Question 3: Understeer or Oversteer?

Rene: Basically I prefer a neutral car, a great balance between these two, but I never have a perfect car. If you have understeer you can't go fast and with some oversteer you can.

Question 4: Cars with DRS or without DRS?

Rene: In the race it is more complicated but also you see more racing, so I am in favor of DRS.

Question 5: Hybrid engines or internal combustion engines?

Rene: I would say that the future is hybrid engines because technology is going forward and I think that in future there will be a hybrid engine in GP2, but hopefully the sound stays the same as it is now.

Question 6: Straights or corners?

Rene: Straights.

Question 7: Monza or Spa?

Rene: Monza.

Question 8: Softs or mediums?

Rene: Softs because you get more grid and you can go faster.

Question 9: Race or qualifying?

Rene: For me I like more racing because you fight with the others and in qualifying you are basically doing  your own job, so I prefer racing.

Question 10: Ferrari or McLaren?

Rene: At the moment Ferrari is the better one, but both teams are on the really high level and it would be really a dream to drive for both.

Question 11: Senna or Prost?

Rene: I think that on the technical side Prost was more intelligent one but what I hear from stories, because I am too young to watch it, that Senna was the guy who was the fastest and more instinct driver.

Question 12: Lewis or Nico?

Rene: For me definitely Lewis because he is the cooler guy and I think that he is the fastest of all Formula 1 field and I think that there is no faster driver than him at the moment.

Question 13: Party or evening with friends?

Rene: Both. Sometimes I have a party and sometimes an evening with good friends. I like both.

Question 14: Trendy music or classical music?

Rene: I like classic music from our mountains, but I also like trendy music.

Question 15: Summer holidays or winter holidays?

Rene: I always do summer holidays because in the winter we always wear some ski clothes and I don't make holidays then.
